About the Roles

New Adventure Children’s Services are seeking Assistant Educators and Inclusion support Educators to grow our fantastic team in the Outside School Hours Care program. These roles are casual positions, working a rotating roster during the school term (Before and After School Care), and seasonal rosters over school holidays (Vacation Care).

Successful applicants will be proactive team players with a passion for the education, care and development of primary school-aged children.

About You

You will be a passionate educator, committed to delivering a fun, relevant and welcoming service for children and their families. You will:

• Be passionate about the education and care of primary school-aged children

• Possess an innate warmth and friendliness to develop ongoing relationships with children

• Self-motivated to bring yourself to work to improve and develop your practice, alongside a motivated and friendly team

• Have great communication skills to proactively support the team, and children with varied needs and interests

• Have a strong commitment to the care, safety and wellbeing of all children, ensuring the highest standards of supervision, safety and hygiene are met and maintained at all times

• Have an understanding of child-safe practice, and contribute to our child-safe culture engrained in the service, school and community

Your Qualifications

Candidates must have completed or be working towards a relevant qualification in Early Childhood, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Outdoor Education, Human Movement, Youth & Community Services.

Not studying, or don’t hold a qualification? That’s okay - while holding work working towards a qualification is a requirement of the position, there are a variety of flexible study options available if you would like to begin your journey into the OSHC or Children’s Services industry (some with 100% government subsidies applied). Candidates will also be required to have valid and up to date Working with Children’s Check, First Aid, and CPR, and Mandatory Reporting/Child Protection qualifications (or willingness to obtain before commencement).

In keeping in line with current directions from the Victorian Department of Health, it is a requirement that all staff are fully vaccinated. Candidates will be required to provide proof of vaccination as part of the recruitment and on boarding process.

About the Service

New Adventure Children’s Services was established in 2014 as a small family owned and operated service. Since then, the school community has welcomed us with open arms, allowing us to grow into the beloved and thriving service we are today. 

Working cohesively with families, children and school staff, our team delivers a tailored program each morning and afternoon to enrich our young people. Our team’s aim is to provide a fun and relevant program in a safe, caring and supportive environment, where children are encouraged to develop to their full potential at their own individual rate. Our success is in our name - we bring children on a New Adventure every day.
